General Information

Springfield is one of 612 city, local, and exempted village public school districts in the state and eight in the county. In 2007-2008, Springfield educated 4,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12. It is located in Lucas County in northwestern Ohio, approximately 72 miles east of the Ohio-Indiana border and within five miles of the Ohio-Michigan border. The Springfield Local School District is pleased to provide education to students living in the Village of Holland, approximately 99% of Springfield Township, and a few neighborhoods within the city of Maumee.
