Welcome to Holland Elementary School, where our mission of exceptional education for today’s learners and tomorrow’s leaders – is visible each day throughout our school. We would like to share a little about the school – first, Holland serves students in kindergarten through grade five and houses both the very first classrooms to provide education to Holland Springfield students and the newest classrooms in the school district! High academic standards, evidenced through Holland’s rating of EXCELLENT from the Ohio Department of Education in 2009, plus strong communication between faculty and parents ensure that each student has every opportunity to achieve to his/her highest ability. Holland also attained a Performance Index of 99.4!

A Testimonial from a Holland Parent
As a full time-member of the faculty at BGSU, education is very important to me, and I want the absolute best available opportunities for my two school-age children. After carefully reviewing test scores, values education, extra curricular activities, and faculty and support staff for both private and public elementary schools in Northwest Ohio, I chose to send my children to Holland Elementary, one of four elementaries in Springfield Local School district. For the past five years, my family has experienced firsthand the “excellence without exception” to which the district is dedicated. We are pleased with our choice and the first-class education our children are receiving – we invited you to come and experience Holland Elementary for yourselves!

Holland Wishes You A Great Summer!
The Holland Staff would like to say "thank you" to our community for its support of another great year of learning and fun. We consider it a great honor and privilege to be part of our students' lives. Each day we marvel at the wonderful students sent to us prepared and ready to learn. The day to day business of running a school can be challenging, but as soon as we can get into the classrooms. we perk up and realize that all that we do, and all that our parents do, is for the children. We hope that all members of the community take the time to be involved in every aspect of a child's education. We have an open door policy and are always available to talk. It is only by forming a strong partnerships that we can provide all the support necessary to give our students a firm educational foundation. Elementary school is where a great foundation starts; all future learning is built upon it. We invite all parents and friends to become active in the Holland Parent Council for the 2010-2011 school year. There are already many fun activities in the works.
Over the past year, we have done all that we could to ensure that each student had a positive learning experience at "Camp Holland", our 2009-2010 theme! For the 2010-2011 school year, students will experience "Holland Point" where "Learning is a Thrill! Come along for the ride!" The roller coaster will be the most visible sign of the theme and we hope to have some special treats available for the Open House on Thursday, August 19th. We will have Kindergarten Open House from 5:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. and the Open House for Grades 1-5 will be 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Bring supplies, explore the school, see our classrooms as we begin the "Thrill of Learning" at Holland Point for 2010-2011.
